Cute-

This goes beyond an aesthetic and it's important to teach young girls that while personality and beauty go hand in hand, they aren't the same thing. Cuteness can be expressed with style, disposition, and body language, making it based around how you act, versus how you look.

She's clever, bubbly, and eager about the world around her which naturally draws other to her and her charm. This is often a trait we most associate with little girls, and she makes it a multidimensional identity. It's not just a compliment, it's a way of life!

There seems to be no getting her down or raining on her parade. Not just happy, but someone who wants to make others happy, too. She's often the life of the party or the one cheering on her friends. The world could use more girls like her.

She's a great reminder of one of our favorite traits in iconic women and characters, like princesses, actresses, and world leaders.

She doesn't have to be tough to get her way or prove herself. Her softer charisma and agreeable manner are a treat for others to see and serves as a perfect example to follow in life.

"Pink" by Aerosmith is a oldie but a goodie! Released back in 1997, the Rock-Pop hit is perfect when pink is your "favorite color." The lyrics are pink-centric and uplifting and just a bit funny, making it a great song selection in the car or for just being silly.

"Pink" by Janella Monae has a more modern feel. Released in 2018, this R&B-Soul number is sassy, flirty, and about female empowerment, telling "boys its cool if like blue, but we've got the pink." It also ends on a super sweet sentiment around the color which makes it even more fun and expressive.

"Cover Me In Sunshine" isn't a song about pink, but instead was written by P!NK and her young daughter Willow Sage Hart. This Country-Pop duet is a perfect Mommy & Me song to sing together. It's encouraging during tough times and a positive reminder that "everything is going to be alright"

Pink Animals

Some adorable creatures happen to be colored pink in the wild! Take some time to learn about why and how behind the animal kingdom. For example: flamingos are born with grey plumage. They create and maintain the pink hue to their bodies by eating brine shrimp. But the funny thing is shrimp aren't naturally pink either! They get their coloration from eating algae. The same goes for salmon.

Another fun example is the domesticated pig. Those sweet little pink creatures we find on commercial farms are different from their wild hog counterparts in size, temperament, and of course, color. While they appear pink from a distance, that actually the color of their skin, which lacks melanin, underneath their thin, white fur.

Here are some other animals worth exploring that carry pink coloration:

Sea Stars   Pink Dolphins       Pink Fairy Armadillo

Orchid Mantis   Elephant Hawk-Moth    Pink Robin
